RYS 200 Yoga Alliance
Our 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Program is designed to make yoga accessible to people of all ages, abilities, and fitness levels. We work on all levels of the body, mind and spirit, not only improving strength and flexibility but rejuvenating the whole being.
Whether you plan to teach yoga, develop your own personal practice or would like to enhance your career by offering yoga, our teacher training program will give you a firm foundation to teach safely, skillfully and with integrity.

ASANAS​

Learn to teach safely, effectively and with confidence
  • Detailed study of yoga postures (asanas) 
  • Learning and understanding sanskrit names of postures
  • Adjustments, Enhancement and Variations
  • Postural alignment, modifications, corrections 
  • Physical and energetic benefits and contradictions
  • Creating intention, grounding, awareness
  • Learn safe hand on adjustments and enhancements
  • Postures for Chakra opening
  • Art of sequencing and intelligent movement
  • Classical Hatha poses are covered to include therapeutic benefits with precision and proper alignment
  • Yoga for Seniors,  Pregnancy, and Kids will be discussed​    
PRANAYAMA (BREATHING TECHNIQUES)
Pranayama is the study of breath control, the “Prana” is life energy. Learn to teach 8 various pranayama breathing techniques and learn the benefits of each and contradictions. Learn to direct, enhance and build life force.  Study Energy Locks and Channels, Bandhas and Nadis.

MEDITATION & MANTRAS

Learn to teach a variety of meditation techniques to quiet the and focus the mind. Daily meditation and journaling is a recommended 200 hour yoga course. Meditation teaches us to stop identifying with the body, the mind, and its ceaseless thoughts. When this happens, then there is yoga, which is identification with the true Self, Samadhi, happiness, bliss.

  YOGIC ANATOMY & PHYSIOLOGY 

Experience and discover the energetic and physical effects of yoga, benefits and risks. Human anatomy and physiology, body planes, alignment and body systems. Fascia/muscle and skeletal are key focus areas.  Learn the energetic effects of yoga on the body and therapeutic properties of  accurate movement, benefits of practices in relation to muscles, joints and organs, to include nadis, chakras, and auyrveda principles.

SHAT KRIYA

Shat means (six) and kriya means ‘cleansing. Yogic kriyas remove the waste materials our internal organs to help purify the physical body and internal organs and thereby create harmony between the major pranic flows attaining physical and mental purification and balance.
