It’s that time of year again, and most people are waking up to a stuffy nose, or an irritating
scratch. You might think to grab that cup of tea once you feel the discomfort but introducing certain teas can help keep those cold bugs away.
Pure teas are loaded with tons of immune-boosting antioxidants and nutrients. Herbal teas are known for their ingredients, which can include a blend of different spices, herbs, fruits, and various plants.
These teas do not contain caffeine, and are excellent for calming the system,
boosting digestion, improving blood pressure, relief from a headache and improvement in liver health.
As the seasons change, the weather gets colder, and the sun sleeps for most of the day, our
bodies require that additional boost to help to keep up and push away that pesty cold.
Introducing various teas into your daily routine will help with just that. So, let’s dive in and
explore 5 best teas for cold and flu!
  • Green Tea: This popular tea is loaded with antioxidants. This tea is well-known for its energy boosting qualities and helps support your body when it’s under attack.
  • Elderberry Tea: These tiny berries are usually made into a syrup, to assist with chest and sinus colds. Packed with tons of anti-inflammatory agents and antioxidants, this tea can not only support your digestive system and immune system, but it’s known to reduce the duration of your cold.
  • Turmeric Tea: A very special spice traditionally used for cooking, however, can be utilized as a supplement and tea as well. It helps reduce pain, inflammation, and soothes the gut. It provides the bodily system with loads of vitamins, which includes zinc, vitamin B6, iron and potassium.
  • Ginger Tea: High in vitamin C, this ingredient is best known for boosting your immune system. It’s a great preventative tea, and if you’re too late, it can help open those plugged up nasal passages!
  • Echinacea Tea: When you start to feel that tingle in your throat, drinking echinacea has shown to provide antimicrobial benefits. This can help fight off the flu and cold!
Pair it with ginger tea to create a super tea!
No matter your taste, adding some lemon and honey to any tea can provide additional comfort and strength to your bodily system. Taking extra steps to provide extra nutrients and boost your immune system will never be a disappointment.
