If you're finding that things are always "go, go, go" and you're never able to catch a breath, this post is for you! Now that the carefree summer days are over and we step into the fall season and back into the hustle and bustle of things, we're seeing that finding any "me time" might start to feel challenging. So we've put together our top 5 tips to find "me time" into your day!
  1. Wake up 15 mins earlier than you normally do. This is a habit that may be challenging for some, but we promise those extra 15 mins in the morning are crucial for those early morning "me time" sessions! With those extra 15 mins in the morning you don't feel so compelled to rush and do everything, but you can mindfully take your time to sip on that early morning coffee/tea or read a book!
  2. Put the phone away 1 hr before bed. We're all tied to our phones, a habit we all can't help since it's been crucial at keeping us connected through tough times. But we find that having your phone on before bed tends to leave you scrolling through Facebook or Instagram which removes time away from yourself at the end of the night to decompress. Try putting the phone away for 1 hour before bed for a week and feel the difference in the way you decompress from your day before bed!
  3. Make time for daily movement. Whether it's a 15 min yoga class or a 15 min walk, some form of movement is key in not only helping you stay healthy but it also helps to get the blood flowing. Doing daily movement allows you to reduce stress and get some happy hormones in!
  4. Create morning and night routines. Creating a morning and night routine allows you to have some time just for you. It can be as short as 5 mins or an hour, but carving out some time for a morning and night routine helps you stay grounded and allow yourself some time to just treat yourself with the luxury of time.
  5. Pick one day a week as your "rest day". While the "to do" list seems never ending, try and pick one day a week to allow yourself to rest or play. This can be by taking a full afternoon to yourself or just taking some time to play and be silly with the kids!
